The cold air had permeated her bones years ago when she had first woken up on the hard ground. She didn’t even feel it anymore. She lay on the floor of her cement prison and thought about her last day of freedom. It was something she thought about often. Why hadn’t she caught on sooner? Why hadn’t she stayed at the party? Maybe it wouldn’t have mattered anyway. Maybe all roads led to this eventually. Everybody dies at some point, so why not here, and why not now? Considering how long she’d been here though, she knew she wasn’t going to die soon. She needed to find a way to do it herself. There was no way she would let that bastard get off one last time. She didn’t want to see the look on His face, the one that told her it was all a game.
